Dreamcast Memories: Let’s go make some crazy money!

September 10, 2010

This is my final Dreamcast Memories article and it’s about a special Dreamcast game: Crazy Taxi.

Back then, with aliens do defeat, planets to conquer, fighting and stuff, being a cab driver seemed cheap, but that wasn’t the case, created by who went on to become Sega CEO, Crazy Taxi was one of Hisao Oguchi’s most original arcade game of that time. Crazy Taxi allowed you to drive around time collecting passangers and getting extra tips for doing crazy stuff like mad dashes, quick turns and other stunts.

All to the sound of artists like Bad Religion and The Offspring, which were huge at the time and the game also had endorsements from Pizza Hut, KFC and other known brands like the GAP store.

To celebrate the final Dreamcast Memories article, I have made this special playthrough of the PC version which I recorded through FRAPS software. I’m a little rusty and it’s not easy to play this game with a Keyboard, but it’s still crazy fun. Happy Dreamcast Day for y’all!
